Trump just told reporters how the Canada trade war ends: not with a handshake in Brussels, with Ottawa walking in and surrendering.

He said Canada will be back in three or four weeks, begging to scrap its tariffs, and that they will say, “Sir, we are sorry.” That is the endgame. Not another WEF communiqué. Not Carney crying to Europe. Capitulation.

Canada treated the United States like a captive customer and a military charity. Provinces yanked American booze, farmers got hammered, and Ottawa still talked like it had leverage. It doesn’t. The U.S. market, the U.S. military umbrella, and U.S. energy are the whole game.
