4th/5th grade team introduction to Travel ball was a success not because we won but because the boys showed different improvements in every game. Never touched a zone and only ran man to man. Running a 5 out read and react. It only going to get harder but these boys don't give up

Get to practice 30 minutes early this week & get a workout in. Only work on skills that you are absolutely terrible at. Stay after practice for 30 minutes & work on the skill you are elite at. Watch film to take a dive into your defense all week. Easy way to get better this week!

His brother Andres Tabarez 23, PG, should be on College coaches radar. I have 3 spots available this year.

We are putting to high a premium on offensive skills. I would rather have a player that had a 11ppg, 5rebs, 4asst and guarded multiple positions then someone who has 19ppg and does nothing else. Teaching a more skilled overall player used to be the battle cry.

The one skill missing in last nights game? Post up & square up. Everything on bounce now. When a dude has 3 fouls catch, square up/turn & face and put a 4th on him. Why do we demand it on perimeter and not in post?
