American versus British / European businesses is a totally different ballgame.
* atleast the majority
Pure difference of hunger!
And as much as I love the latter, can’t really wrap head around it not acknowledging compete-depth but hiding behind fluff, like that fox & sour grapes story.
Well, I am glad Indian enterprise is more of the first, unlike a lot of our other systems that are still in colonial handover mode.
Since this piece of news came out, the UAE / Dubai has now overtaken Germany and Italy as one of our most attractive study abroad destinations this year, cementing its place in the top three for Leverage. WE ARE EXCITED!

And it ain’t a great thing as most are celebrating in comments (as much as I am a UC fan, but any employment = good employment isn’t a pipe I’d ever smoke!)
Because these jobs don’t scale.
You can start at ₹3L per annum as an IT services professional, and then gradually keep scaling all the way to making lakhs a month 5-7-10 years out.
You can start at ₹3L per annual as a plumber / Insta maid whatever / delivery person, and then jaise jaise body thakegi (ability to do ‘hard labour’ 🔻), vaise vaise your earning potential keeps crashing 📉
Yup, all time low given chaos around Spring intake (Jan/Feb) earlier this year, & then low applications through the April to June period which is prime for Sep / Fall arrivals
Though we @leverageedu are seeing much increased VISA % approvals from Vietnam, Brazil, across Middle East (ofc US universities making up for China and India from new regions)
🎯 Contrary to most takeaways though, queries from India had started to dip much earlier; it was infact at a low in the run-up to US elections itself, folks wanted to see what’d actually happen (Blue or Red) .. the data shared reflects most of that period
PS: this data is “new arrivals”; US Dept of Commerce shares this data basis I-20 issuance #s (the form you need for student visa F-1) / its also known that this mostly lags
🌟 For all the political chatter everywhere, those numbers will only reflect somewhat in Jan 2026 (* India as source market) & then for the main Fall Sep
