NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama (Wemby) broke into tears after the Spurs’ 25-point comeback against the Clippers.
The “too cool to care” mentality is a dead end.
Trying hard is cool. Pushing yourself to get better is cool. Stepping into the arena is cool. Caring deeply is cool.
Somewhere along the way it became uncool to care. But this is nonsense. The only people who say it’s not cool to care are the people who are hiding their own fear of failure and insecurities.
After Wemby collected himself, he told the media: “I thought I was going to pass out,” he said. “That’s close to being the hardest game of my life.”
We respect others when they give it their all. And the same is true for ourselves.
When you hold yourself back because you fear failure or looking “uncool,” you sacrifice growth and potential and mastery and fulfillment and intimacy and love (and all the other good stuff in life) for short-term safety and comfort. It’s a trap. Get over it.
The best athletes care deeply.
The best artists care deeply.
The best leaders care deeply.
The best coaches care deeply.
The best teachers care deeply.
The best doctors care deeply.
The best writers care deeply.
The best scientists care deeply.
The best parents care deeply.
Enough with the nonchalance.
Try hard and give a damn.

Except when he does really important or charitable work, then suddenly he doesn't exist
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Multiple teams want to schedule second, in-person interviews with Broncos OPGC/QB coach Davis Webb for their head coaching jobs, but by rule, he’s not allowed to meet again until Jan. 26.
Webb will be busy this week, preparing Jarrett Stidham to start the AFC Championship Game.
Eagles offense with a 35th percentile performance, based on EPA/drive.
That's with 10 of 11 starters available on the NFL's most expensive offense. Going up against a bottom-5 defense.
Counted on defense to bail them out all year. In the end, they were who we thought they were.
if the Eagles lose they have no one to blame but Nick Sirianni for appointing a terrible OC because he's a pal & then not reassigning play calling when it was clear that the OC was horrible
wasting an elite defense because you wanted to let your buddy call offensive plays
