Congratulations to Chairman @CommishArod, Commissioner @commishbermudez , Commissioner @nmilianorbis, & Commissioner @MickySteinberg on earning the continued trust of their communities, & to Commissioner-elect @docstevegallon. I'm proud to work alongside these dedicated leaders!
Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave everything so that we could have everything.
Miami-Dade is proud to be home to one of the largest veteran communities in the nation. Their sacrifice lives in the freedom we cherish every single day.
Governor DeSantis just signed into law the new congressional map designed to silence millions of Floridians — including right here in Miami-Dade.
In 2010, 63% of voters passed the Fair Districts Amendment to protect against exactly this.
We will defend it.
Miami-Dade stands with our Haitian community. I urge the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold Judge Reyes' ruling & maintain Haiti TPS. This is a place where everyone belongs, & I will always support people and families who are here following our laws and contributing to our community.
Today we stood with TSA employees at MIA making sure those impacted by the partial government shutdown have the support they need right now. Thank you to @nmilianorbis, @FarmShareFL , & everyone who came together to support our workers and their families with essential resources.
Today is #InternationalWomensDay — a time to celebrate women and renew our commitment to building a better future for women and girls. As your first woman Mayor, I’m proud of the progress we’ve made to ensure women and girls in Miami-Dade have the tools to thrive. 🌸
Liberty Square has been part of Liberty City’s story for generations, and we are writing its next chapter together.
We broke ground on Phase V at Liberty Square and Liberty Square for the Elderly! That means 408 new family units and 132 new homes for seniors in Liberty City.
This week, we unveiled the future of Gate D60 at Miami International Airport. ✈️ By 2030, the 1 billion expansion D60 will add 17 new gates, larger boarding areas, and direct access to Customs for international travelers. We’re building a stronger, more modern MIA for the future.
@Messina2012 Couldn't agree more. When federal delays kneecap FL hospitals, it hits home in Miami-Dade—jobs, care, and lives on the line. Urging @DrOz & CMS to approve the program now.
Let's protect our local economies and turn the tide for good.
Nothing turns red areas blue faster than messing with hospitals & local economies.
@DrOz's CMS has FL's Medicaid hospital program “inexplicably stuck.” If you kneecap funding while living there, don’t be shocked when voters reconsider their team jersey.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home and care that supports their well-being. From opening new affordable housing to funding mental health services,, we are investing in communities so families can thrive for generations to come.
I’m grateful for Laura Dominguez’s recognition of the work we’re doing to protect Miami-Dade’s environment.
These protections and this work is essential to our quality of life and our future. I’ll continue leading with a clear focus on environmental stewardship.
I vetoed the Kelly Tractor expansion to protect sensitive wetlands and uphold Miami-Dade’s growth rules.
Those wetlands play a critical role in protecting our drinking water and managing flooding. Allowing this project to move forward would have put those protections at risk.
Protecting our wetlands isn’t optional—it’s a responsibility.
We can grow our economy without compromising our drinking water or our future. The Urban Development Boundary must mean something. Smart growth follows the rules and protects what makes Miami-Dade unique.
Delivering tangible results requires a government that is efficient, focused, and responsible with your taxpayer dollars.
Through my Wise 305 program, launched last year, we’re reviewing every department to work smarter, eliminate outdated processes, and modernize government.
Here in Miami-Dade, we’ve made tremendous progress on public safety by building nationally recognized programs rooted in prevention, dignity, and accountability.
We turned the page on our jail system and created a safer approach where justice and dignity go hand in hand.
I’m proud of the work being done across Miami-Dade to care for our pets and animals — from the new South Dade animal shelter to the continued improvements at Zoo Miami.
I’m proud to announce the MIA Forward Flight Team.
This group of committed partners will be focused on one clear goal: making Miami International Airport work better for the people who use it and the people who keep it running.
When we work together, there is no limit to what we can achieve. And here in Miami-Dade, that choice is clear.
We choose to stand together, just as we always have. That’s why the state of our county is strong.
