@eNCA a wealthy salaried South African in the 45% bracket may end up with a combined tax burden in the region of 45%–55% of gross income when all major taxes (VAT on goods purchased, property tax etc) are considered. Factor private health care, school fees and security then it rises.
investing is important… but you need money to make money 💰💰
many people are better off paying down expensive debt, building an emergency fund & freeing up some extra cash
you can’t invest money you don’t have
@GodPenuel I am currently in Istanbul, Taksim (touristic part of Istanbul) to be exact and observing similar behaviours from Local Turks with no Africans in sight. Africans are miseducated. We are not taught how to build wealth. No one will spend money visiting a filthy 5 star hotel.
@GodPenuel It comes down to self-worth & internal perception. If you feel wealthy, you will exude wealthy habits and thus keep your environment clean. If you are on survival mode with low self esteem, your environment will reflect your inner state of mind irrespective of race or nationality
@thetripathi58 This is exactly why i retired at the age of 36 through investing in multiple rental income. I do not have time for such mental gymnastics. I will rather use my energy to build and acquire F U Money which allows me to do what i want, when i want and go where the fuck i want to go.
@Zwelinzima1 Entrepreneurs are the ones that can create jobs and grow the economy. Government needs to let entrepreneurs breathe. Too much compliance actually deters people from starting businesses. Starting a business is not a joke. Make it easier for us to grow and we will employ more.
@brettherron@kimheller3@meganshead In my view, government needs to create an environment where people can invest. They need to create incentives for people own land and built. Governments across the worlds are the worst landlords. Public housing always create more problems.
@brettherron@kimheller3@meganshead Hi Brett, i agree with you but lets do the maths. The average building price is around R12 000 per sqm. Assuming the average house built is 80 sqm. That would be 114 homes built at that R110 Million. Not sure if 114 new homes would make a difference.
@MbuyiseniNdlozi The Europeans have been preaching for decades how exploitative China is and Africa should refrain from acepting direct investment from China. But now China is good enough to invest in Europe after getting screwed by the US.
