Truly a beautiful and Black time was had in NOLA at the Black Media Studies Conference. There is a particular kind of affirmation of scholarship and community I received here and I’m really excited about continuing to be a part of building and extending these spaces.
As I prepare to board my plane I just wanna say how much I enjoyed the #BlackMediaStudiesConference. It was deeply humbling being in the room w/ so many brilliant scholars. Ty to all the senior scholars for all the wisdom. S/o to the homies and new homies 🫶🏾! See y’all in Boston!
