It might be optimal but is it enjoyable to you. If it’s not, do the enjoyable thing because you will be more consistent at it.
Most importantly do the thing.
If you want time to slow down, stop distracting yourself. Spending less time on screens, even listening to music…you quickly realise how much time you actually have & can use.

Trained myself, coached, nutrition clients & then spent the rest of the morning working on some menu ideas, nutrition, calorie, macros & micros for a friend’s restaurant. I love what I do.

In theory, consistency is about being disciplined, determined, and unwavering.
In practice, consistency is about being adaptable. Don't have much time? Scale it down. Don't have much energy? Do the easy version. Find different ways to show up depending on the circumstances. Let your habits change shape to meet the demands of the day.
Adaptability is the way of consistency.
