BOOMER: "Nobody wants to work anymore."
YOU: "I work 50 hours a week."
BOOMER: "Doing what, on a computer?"
YOU: "Yes. It pays $58,000."
BOOMER: "I made $18,000 and owned a house."
YOU: "That's the whole point."
BOOMER: "We didn't complain, we just worked."
YOU: "You worked one job and got a pension. I work one job and get a 401k match if I'm lucky."
BOOMER: "Nobody handed me anything."
YOU: "College was $600 a year. Your first house was 2x your salary. Your employer covered your family's health insurance."
BOOMER: "That was normal back then."
YOU: "Exactly. It was normal. Now it's impossible."
BOOMER: "So what do you want, a handout?"
YOU: "I want what was normal."
BOOMER: *silent*
You didn't outwork us.
You just lived in the version of the country where working was enough.
America has developed a profoundly disordered relationship with dogs, and that relationship seems to have intensified considerably since the pandemic.
The growing anthropomorphism of pets has become a genuine cultural problem. Increasingly, The Dog People insist on inserting their animals into virtually every area of human life, treating dogs not simply as companion animals, but as substitutes for people, and expecting society to accommodate them accordingly.
Dogs are being described as children, their behavior is interpreted through a human emotional lens, and ordinary boundaries between human and animal life are increasingly treated as somehow cruel or unnecessary. Businesses, workplaces, restaurants, travel, housing, and social gatherings are all expected to accommodate the preferences of people who have decided that their dogs should be included.
There is nothing wrong with loving a dog. There is nothing wrong with being deeply attached to an animal that has been part of your household for years. But, it is an animal nonetheless, and your affection does not erase the fundamental distinction between a human being and an animal.
Society is not obligated to restructure ordinary human spaces around an animal simply because its owner has elevated the animal to the status of a family member.
@Tulsabill55@OSUCowboys_John@MattH_4America Only someone living in a fantasy land could belive otherwise. Some examples of governments barbarous acts. Tuskegee Syphilus Study, human radiation experiments, plutonium injection experiments, Fernald school experiments, willow brook hepatitis studies, forced sterilization
While they’re telling you to put more beans in your beef so you can afford to make burritos for your family, remember the Israeli lobby spent $30 million to take me out of Congress because I wouldn’t vote for the things that have made your grocery bills so high.
@Tulsabill55@OSUCowboys_John@MattH_4America Why would they not? They majority of people they killed were social security, Medicare recipients, and those with underlying health conditions. People they view as leeches to society. They opened up a lot of tax dollars to be spent elsewhere
@LegendaryEnergy They talk about liberals having “Trump derangement syndrome” I honestly think they’re describing themselves. So glad I left the political games in 2021. They’re both a joke
While the public conversation focuses on how Fauci pushed the COVID vaccines, we cannot overlook what he did with the hospital treatment protocols.
He took remdesivir—a drug that Dr. David E. Martin states was declared too deadly and unethical for use in the African Ebola trials because it carried a 53% mortality rate overall (and 85% in patients with high viral loads)—and elevated it to the standard hospital protocol for COVID.
In practice, it became the primary (and essentially only) antiviral Fauci allowed for hospitalized patients. Families whose loved ones died under these protocols call the drug “Run-Death-Is-Near.” Remdesivir destroys kidney function—linked to a 2.81 times higher risk of kidney failure and permanent damage—and when combined with ventilators, it triggers pulmonary edema, filling the lungs with fluid so patients drown.
It also causes severe, often irreversible liver injury, multi-organ shutdown, and heart damage including fatal arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, and bradycardia.
This is the medication that killed my husband and countless others. Fauci claimed remdesivir would stop COVID; instead, it stopped kidney function and blasted the liver and other organs. He helped create the system of financial incentives that rewarded doctors and hospitals for administering it.
Shockingly, it is now FDA-approved even for newborns weighing as little as 3 pounds—based on testing in just 58 infants for only 10 days.
We need to question Fauci thoroughly and publicly about his full involvement in making remdesivir the default treatment.
@Mike_Pence Why should China be held accountable? The virus was created in NC. Because gain-of-function is illegal in the USA, it was sent to China to be manipulated using our tax dollars. Fauci deserves to hang on the White House lawn. Start the Nuremberg trials 2.0.
If RFK Jr. doesn’t say something about this and just sucks off Donald Trump so he can keep his position, he’s a traitor too.
MAHA is a complete failure.
The bold and courageous doctors of our time. Those who looked in the face of evil and said they didn’t care if it costed them everything they’d ever worked for. They’re a reason many of the 15% didn’t get the vaccine.
@Cyndiluuwho61 Either you’re willfully ignorant or a bold-faced liar🤥 Listen Pinocchio, we heard and remember everything the big wigs said. Safe & effective. Prevents you from getting/spreading it. We were called murderers, self-serving, delusional, and compared to terrorists for refusing.
Vaccine studies typically last about 10 years to see long term affects. They roll out this NEW gene altering vaccine & the goal is to have 100% of eligible people vaccinated. Eliminating the control group. So in 5 years when people with underlying conditions, people who cost the
