The Wildcat varsity cross country squads traveled to Fairburn, Georgia on Saturday, October 4 to compete in the Asics invitational. With 8 runners each, both the boys and girls teams finished well in a competitive field. The boys placed seventh out of 46 teams and averaged 15:53 as a team. The girls placed 20th out of 42 teams, and averaged 19:38 as a team. The electric atmosphere provided a prime opportunity to earn some new season bests and PRs on both sides.
The Wildcats return to action in the Coaches Classic next Saturday in Newberry. Our next home meet will be the Lexington County Championships on October 22.
