Better late than never to share my talk ha! This was so much fun @UICHumanities!
I look forward to sharing this work & subsequent chapters on industrial slavery & convict labor in my home region. #twitterstorians#midwesternhistory

@mimoyd1 I am in SUCH a similar phase: working out, cute clothes, and EVEN putting on a little eyeliner. I like the way you put it: Let's go with it. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week :)
@allthewhile1 @roopikarisam totally relate to this, @allthewhile1. Love seeing my history and DH worlds come together in this thread. @roopikarisam happy summer to you both!
@rebeccawingo lmao thanks for putting into words what I have been thinking soo much this year learning more about file naming. I hope you find disk 5 <3
Had an amazing first visit to Philly. Thanks @mcneilcenter! Connected w/ so many smart, good friends & met new conference buddies. So many new ideas after my panel & 3 invigorating days of papers & conversation on war & more pre-1865. So grateful for this intellectual community!
@BoydCothran @thejohnlegg THIS! I just gave a 45-minute talk yesterday, and I thought I needed the paper due to some stress this week. I think I could have mixed prose and outline. I ended up talking vs. reading more than I thought.
I had a great first WHA! So much to think about re: history, #digitalhumanities, and #digitalhistory after a great weekend with a fun group of scholars. #SanAntonio was nifty too. Hope to see you all soon, friends! #WHA2022
Having a blast learning about the growing field of DH in Western History @ #WHA2022! Can't wait to feature some of these amazing scholars at UIC in the future!
@jmjafrx @MECotera @palacson @ClevelandKimchi @bob_morrissey@bwins35 @HannahLHuber @roopikarisam @rebeccawingo @cdc29 So nice to meet you, Jessica. Your talk was spectacular, and it was great to share a meal too. I look forward to next time such a great group convenes! Such energy and inspiration from last week.
