A random guy noticed I was struggling with my crutches and offered to help me get down the stairs at hospital. On the way down, he told me he’d fractured his ankle a while back and kept saying things like, “I know it sucks, but it’ll get better.” When we reached the bottom, he asked if I’d like to have dinner with him and go back to his place afterward. I thanked him for helping, but told him I already have a boyfriend. He immediately threw my crutches on the ground, turned around, and walked away without another word...idk who needs to hear this but Women do not owe men romantic or sexual attention just because a man decided to help them.

In Texas, A 18-year-old girl experienced a miscarriage at around six months pregnant. She visited emergency rooms three times over about 20 hours. On her second visit, she screened positive for sepsis, but doctors discharged her because the fetus still had a heartbeat, saying she was "fine to leave." On the third visit, an OB-GYN insisted on two ultrasounds to "confirm fetal demise" before admitting her to intensive care. She died hours later from sepsis complications. Her mother later said it felt like doctors were more concerned about the fetal heartbeat than her daughter's life.
