Humans have survived for thousands of years without AI, and they will survive another thousand years without it. We can live without AI. What we cannot live without is fresh water, farmers, agriculture, bees, trees, and arable land.
Stop using AI. It’s destroying the planet.
We live in a world where we can’t seem to own anything. Everything is a subscription. Music, storage, movies, water, electricity. You can’t just buy things once and own them. You have to keep paying every month until you eventually die. Is anyone else bothered by this?
The thing that gets me about the online response to the European heatwave is the lack of empathy. If you hear that people are dying and your response is to smugly proclaim that it's not even that hot and they're weak for not being able to hamdle it, you're just a horrible person.
y’all have no respect for the ppl who make your life easier. the person making your morning coffee deserves a livable wage. the person stocking the groceries you buy deserves a livable wage. the person cleaning the restrooms in the office you work at deserves a livable wage.
cristiano ronaldo admitted that he raped a woman and is getting cheered for at the world cup while connor mcgregor was on jimmy fallon after he raped a woman so violently she needed to get her tampon surgically removed. and people will still say rape allegations ruin men’s lives
Ai
1) wastes tons of water every day
2) ruins peoples lives (who live near data centers)
3) steals jobs
4) steals identities/creates deepfakes
5) Affects your mental health (ai psychosis)
6) spreads misinformation
I could go on… but after all this you still chose to use it?
I really do think we underestimate how many people are hanging on by a single, fraying thread, and how, some days, the only things saving them from the abyss are the small comforts of a TV show that feels like home, a book that tells you you’re not alone, or a pet that needs you.
It’s becoming genuinely painful to watch society grow more ignorant, more cruel, more weird, more stupid, and increasingly stripped of empathy every single day.
