@Dante_Unchained@doctorshaggyy Yeah, it’s for this reason that I’m actually excited to see her in MoT. She was great in this role; hopefully more people will appreciate that when she has better material to work with.
@MORELEFTTHANU@USMNTOtaku Him & Weah were the biggest disappointments from last night. Other players made plenty of mistakes, but that was just confirming what we already knew about them. We actually kinda need Weah and Reyna to be good if we want to go far; but Reyna was MIA and Weah couldn’t time a run.
@ItsRiverShane I can understand being hesitant to platform fresh converts who’ve left NSFW entertainment, but most objections I see from Christians give off “prodigal son’s brother” vibes. Like they’re jealous the sinful lives they lived before Christ found them weren’t as extravagant as that.
@TaipMuunS@GinXGinw Yeah, the only way she didn’t make sense was if the reader considered Fuutarou purely a blank slate with no character development, personality, or preferences of his own. If you actually look at his arc and his values, Yotsuba becomes the most logical choice.
@corbano_@MLShater I think Poch called off the dogs at half. I noticed a few moments where one of our wings made a great play to send a cross, but no one bothered pushing into the box to receive it. Mix that with our subs & some tactical changes from Paraguay, and you get a much sloppier 2nd half.
@Bootstrapbillie@Nat3Riv3r1 I loved the ZSJL announcement b/c a thing that never happens actually happened: artist screwed by personal tragedy & corporate suits completed his vision (spiting the bastardized theatrical release, too). I love the film itself, so I’m sad its true legacy will be toxic discourse.
@N17Revolution@LastWordOnSpurs@pokeefe1 Agreed. All these people calling the signing a “failure” as if they expect him to start. We already have Udogie & Robertson over him at LB (Souza loan?); and unless we sell more than one CB and don’t replace them, he’d be 5th choice there at best. How is that a problem?
@DaneFost@nmpilaa Agree with the point but not the example. This is the kind of goof CinemaSins used to be about: actual production mistakes that made the final cut. CS lost the plot when they started conflating those mistakes with their own blatant misunderstandings of the films they criticize.
@simonyemane I get that Everton were sitting back most of the half, but even so, we were quicker to loose balls and more clever with our touches. The midfield has been battling and Tel has been immense.
@parsa_koolaji@edwardbrgr Snyder directed two major comic adaptations before WB asked him to helm the DCEU. He was a known quantity as a filmmaker, and his DCEU efforts were on par with his previous works. WB knew what they were getting; they deserve no sympathy, esp. after throwing Zack under the bus.
@TheMuppetPastor@therealKripke@TheBoysTV Kripke & co are the leftist equivalent of Tom McDonald. They love the pushback because they think they’re provocative & dropping truth bombs, when really they’re just witless and annoying.
@SilentlyBren@derpyman1995@TheOldOtaku This exactly. Just add a few more toys we can use for evasion, an indirect weapon or two a la the stasis rifle from the original, and a blade to the multitool; do that and were good. I would be interested in some kind of weapon system for the largest sub, but nothing too crazy.
@GrumblingGamer@JulianHeliosII Yeah, I disagree with those who say Homelander’s descent into madness and death were out of character; it was built up quite clearly. But I absolutely agree with them that crazy Homelander is 1000% less interesting than the sinister & calculating supe he showed he could be early.
@Blazbaros@CWilson2197 I don’t remember where I heard it first, but I like this simple summary: Jedi bend their will to the force, Sith bend the force to their will. Which is why, upon death, the force embraces Jedi and rejects Sith.
@JohnDGoldbach@EchoesofWarYT For my money, of all the figures in American history, there is not a single one of whom more is made yet less is known than Lee.
@tightlikeadish Nepotism, maybe. But I didn’t think Pakku gave Katara a spot purely because he was engaged to Gran Gran. The necklace reminded Pakku that his arrogance drove away the love of his life; so he bent (pun not intended) his rules to respect Katara’s heritage AND to temper his pride.
@Draven_X_23@thattugglife Yeah, I see the whole “make something new” critique used mostly for all the live action Disney remakes or legacy sequels/reboots. You know, new editions of already successful movie franchises. Video games have a bunch of great stories to adapt, but these studios never even try.
@mhedges0@JackPilgrimKSR Being a UK fan is such a slog right now. The program is sputtering and fans are lashing out at anyone they can. Not gonna make any big statements (good or bad) about JP as a reliable UK reporter, but I’m sure his job is a lot tougher when there’s not much good news to report on.
