I called so many people on the phone to tell them their loved one was dead or dying in December 2020.
"Can I come and see them?"
"We have to protect everyone we can from this. No visitors are allowed. I'm so sorry."
"I understand."

What other kind of product is so *embarrassing* that people feel compelled to explain it? No, no I didn’t really buy this thing. Honestly I didn’t.

@Smutchings@Dan_Gray It doesn’t. The fact remains that nothing I’ve seen in AI art - and nothing you’ve presented in your argument - convinces me that there’s any more creativity in the art beyond uncanny valley ripoffs and no more talent in the artists beyond writing a really good google search.
@joakimjansson Along with the price, I think the extreme industrial look of it will make it a struggle to fit in with a lot of office/home office spaces.
@Dan_Gray Might be 'cos I've only been here 4 years. I asked my neighbour if he's from Glossop, and he said (un-sarcastically) "No, I've only lived here 40 years" so I have a few more to go yet.
