In a big win for EM residents, @ACEPNow Council adopted 2 EMRA policies today: supporting the choice of 3- and 4-year residency durations and protecting residents’ access to procedural training in the ED. @EmergencyDocs heard your concerns loud and clear.

May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, and #NGMCGME's Psychiatry residency isn't alone in bringing awareness. Emergency Medicine resident Dr. Leyanet Gonzalez advocates for mental health awareness all year. Check out her testimony at https://t.co/ktykpoSbdY

He’s not just “full of it”
A case where the initial differential of functional constipation takes a sharp *upwards* turn presented by our very own Dr. Leyanet Gonzalez! We’re so proud!
📍New Horizons in Pediatrics Conference 2023
Health is a fundamental HUMAN right.
Being a US born US citizen does NOT mean I will treat you with superiority or priority over any other patient I see.
Just a friendly reminder.
I pursued an MBA before medical school. I learned how to identify priorities/ become fluent with balance sheets and the role of opportunity costs. An MBA is a different lens upon which to view complex healthcare problems. We need more doctors to understand the business of med.
There’s no better feeling than talking with my co-residents about how we’re going to support & love our new interns 😭😭 can’t wait to see who’s joining our family!

If you're in a season of studying right now, keep repeating this to yourself:
I'll work hard. I'll do my best. But this exam doesn't get to steal my joy.
