Hey, good to meet you!
Now that I’m over 8,000 followers, feel the need to explain why I’m extreme in the gym.
Had a TBI at 12 that caused me to have migraines when exposed to 60hz fluorescent lighting. Undiagnosed until 2011, I spent my life trying to live a normal life despite intense pain nearly everyday. Ate 800mg of ibuprofen like it was candy.
I loved running and worked up to marathons in my 30’s (might link the 1st story, epic, TL;DR didn’t die).
Raised 4 amazing kids and had multiple businesses. Started a Rotary Club.
Divorced my wife for cause.
But by 2015 I knew I had to quit my IT career before the migraines killed me.
I had written 2 novels by then, so rolled the dice and went on a tour…until the fluorescent light knocked me down, brain bleed from 190/110 BP and 90 pulse (was 110/50 when not exposed).
No cures from the docs, so I found my own, L-Arginine 12g/day. Cured the migraines and the damage from the bleed.
I transitioned to my hobby, home remodeling, for a living. Still writing when I can, movies in the works.
I found Power Lifting 3yrs ago, and have put the same mindset from my running into it.
Currently in the top 50% of men my age/weight competing, 49th in the world last year with a total of 1019lbs.
I’m working on getting those next 200lbs and being in the top 10%.
I post my successes and failures.
I cheer on those who are trying to improve themselves.
Sometimes I make stupid posts, probably on the autism spectrum, so yeah.
Glad you’re here and thanks for reading this far. Follow my son @DigitalFringed1 for hot takes on food, no he’s not autistic, but he does have a NJ mouth.
