So far @SouthwestAir having assigned seating is a massive failure for me. My $188 flight with seat assignments would cost the same as @united

As a loyal SWA flier, they’re really making this hard for me!

Boarding my @SouthwestAir flight back home … and a different SWA gate had to announce “Please take your assigned seat, we can’t leave until you’re all in your assigned seats.”

Apparently, people don’t care about your assigned seating when the flight is 1/2 full.

So, as we approach our final decent… I got up, with all my crap (coat, sweater, food, bags) and moved back 2 rows. Completely pissing off the couple who was settled in. I apologized and told them what the flight attendant told me “ that the computers would be able to land…”

So… more to my seating dilemma on @SouthwestAir … the flight attendant played musical chairs with passengers, realized I was sitting in 21 C (an empty row) instead of 23 C (a full row less 1 seat), she told me I had to move before we landed bcuz I was in “the wrong zone”

Overhead at MDW: “I think this will be my last @SouthwestAir flight.”

Who can blame her 🤷🏻‍♀️ imagine being on an empty flight with everyone crammed into the last 10 rows of the plane 🙄

So… it took a lot longer to board with assigned seating. I’m sure it will get better with time, but I’m on a 1/2 full flight and it took 31 mins to board. We are late for departure by 1 min (so far). @SouthwestAir

As a LONG TIME SWA flier, I prefer OPEN SEATING 😫
