so like... do we have to remind this fandom that arkco are kids??? we are not doing this conversation again holy shit. idc if you age them up, writing/drawing them in explicit scenes is WEIRD.
TW: Long Rant & Character Analysis (Sunday & The Astral Express)
The reason it doesn't make sense to some you that the Astral Express would welcome Sunday onto the train is simple: you don't view the AE crew as individual, independent characters. Instead, you view the crew as an extension of yourself, and assume everyone shares your exact opinions.
In this analysis, I’m going to break down why each member of the Astral Express would actually be perfectly fine with Sunday joining the train.
1. The Trailblazer (TB)
Let's start with the Trailblazer, who is the biggest victim of forced self-insert opinions. TB is the exact kind of person who folds the moment someone does something nice for them (which, honestly, is so me-coded). Sunday isn't the first or only character to get this treatment Aventurine and Sampo got it, too.
That doesn't mean TB will suddenly be magically, overly sweet; they’ll still gladly tease and be a bit mean to you ( Sampo being prime examples). And before anyone tries to downplay Aventurine or Sampo's past actions: staging a fake murder attempt and scamming people are still pretty horrible things to do. If
2. Mr. Welt
If you know anything about Welt Yang's lore, you wouldn't think this is out of character at all. Welt is a man who believes in kindness; it is simultaneously his greatest strength and his biggest weakness. He genuinely believes that kindness is the greatest gift a nation can offer. To him, every individual is a world of their own, a world that deserves support no matter what. This exact philosophy is what fuels his support for Sunday's redemption.
3. March 7th
March is a genuinely good person. That’s really all there is to it, she is simply too nice. Even when Scott was being asshole to her, she still felt bad when they made him shit himself , because she felt it was an unkind thing to do regardless of the context. Mind you, Scott had actively fought her, yet she still felt upset by how he was treated, and she genuinely mourned when he died.
And yes, people as pure-hearted as March actually do exist in real life. If you can't understand her empathy, you're probably just a bit too negative and jaded to get it.
4. Dan Heng
I’m going to get this out of the way first: I don't care about RenHeng, and I don't care if you dislike it. Dan Feng is Dan Heng. A screenshot from back in version 1.x doesn't prove otherwise, especially when we literally have Dan Heng stating that even if you change after reincarnation, you are still you, and your past crimes are still yours.
With that established, it's very obvious that Dan Heng forgiving Sunday is a form of self-love and self-acceptance. While their crimes are fundamentally different, they are still major transgressions. By extending grace to Sunday, Dan Heng is extending grace to his own past.
5. Himeko.
Finally, Miss Himeko has always made her stance explicitly clear: she believes anyone can hop on the Express, as long as they are willing to look forward, regardless of what their past contains. To her, welcoming the lost and the wandering is the ultimate way of following the path of the Trailblaze

BREAKING: Two people have climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City, holding a banner from the skyscraper's antenna reading, "When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace."
As of now it's unclear how the pair reached the top of the building as police work to get them down from the spire, 1,454 feet above the ground.
