At VDOT, work zone safety is a team effort. “I really appreciate the support received from my colleagues,” said David D. from Oilville Area Headquarters. “I’ve seen motorists on cell phones and being unsafe while driving. I’d ask them to focus on driving when behind the wheel.”
Our crews work hard to keep Virginia moving, and part of that job is keeping one another safe. As Noah puts it, “I like the fact that my co-workers look out for me when in the field. They care about me and I care about them.”

Everyone at VDOT plays a vital safety role. Emily P., from Nottoway Area Headquarters shares, "I make sure crews have the right PPE, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and other essential supplies.” Help us stay safe by slowing down and ditching distractions.
Behind the plow is a person.
Meet VDOT team member, LaVar B. of the Chester Area HQ who clears snow with one goal in mind: keeping drivers safe so he can get home to the people he loves.
Crews have been working through the night to treat roadways. Richmond District has mobilized 1,400 pieces of snow fighting equipment, and 3,000 operators are working 12-hour shifts to maintain vital routes. Stay home and give crews time to make the roads safe.
This year to come:

A Sending Church knows that mission is much more than going on trips & financing missionaries. It’s discipling the entire body to sacrifice, cross barriers, and make disciples. When the church is on mission, the importance of work where there aren’t yet churches is clear.
Monday Morning Reminder:
There are real human souls behind the profile icons.
