@StePlunk Gravenberch has to go to IQ school. His glazers have to stop riding his knob, bro has poor workrate defensively and just wants to roam forward
@el_mansfield Stats don't reflect how poor he operates on RW. Nothing against the fella, but someone in the profile of Mbaye is preferred.
Minteh is fine too but he is injured and overpriced as most players in a premier league club are.
Szoboszlai In Cm… No MORE!
Well as a double pivot, outperformed by Mac Allister and the subs. Looked far more effective once he moved into a wider region of the pitch.
His ego won’t accept RB long term so is this a problem brewing?

🚨 Jurgen Klopp on the recent criticism of Florian Wirtz:
“I think Liverpool, at least, have absolutely understood where he actually needs to play. That is, of course, CENTRALLY, in the half spaces, the pockets where he needs to operate.
“But Flo also has to learn, of course. He has to play in such a way that, in the end, the manager doesn’t even consider taking him off. That’s just how it is. We can’t help him with that.
“I think they [Liverpool] will learn how to integrate him, and Flo simply has to play his game. That’s what it’s about. And I’d like to give him the opportunity to do that at some point.
“But anyone who wants to play for us HAS TO BE ABLE to counter press. I played Shinji Kagawa as a No. 10. He didn’t make a single tackle and was still one of the best counter pressing players I’ve ever had. It’s not about physicality. It’s about wanting to contribute in that respect as well.
“From a footballing point of view, he is beyond any doubt, for me and for everyone else too. But Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and so on are, of course, always the first ones to get nervous in England.” 👀🇩🇪
@AnfieldSector@_pauljoyce He's always been a little overrated due to his ability to capture headlines off the bench. He's not the profile of player suitable for the premier league. Slow (can't play wide), one footed, unable to hold onto ball in tight spaces, can't tackle (can't play in the middle)
@indykaila No thanks. Time to move on, he is physically washed. Also a good moment to create a hardworking culture on and off the pitch, Duolingo can wait. #lfc#duolingo
Stop this obsession with RWs.
None of them are worth anywhere close to the fees required or good enough.
From now till the end of the window:
- Barcola
- Camara
- Doue
Get Szobo out of the pivot. Have him and Munoz for RW.
You can switch Grav and Macca at this point idc
This is a balanced team.
2 wingers + Wirtz + Isak + Szobo in the pivot is a disaster waiting to happen.
I don't understand the rationale behind bringing a 28y/o Sarr in. Minteh makes a lot more sense at a young age, higher workrate and still room to improve.
This.
He made a name for himself as a LW and RW in Leipzig and Salszburg's 4-4-2/4-box-2.
He has never played in the pivot on a consistent basis his whole career.
He isn't Gerrard's level of course, but stylistically very similar.
Gerrard wasn't suited to playing in the pivot. Same for Szoboszlai.
If we want to be a bit more attacking, play Munoz or Rio there in certain games or off the bench.
We'd be benefitting from his crossing, defensive contributions, extra physicality, and pressing.
Szobo RW tucking in with Camara - Macca/Grav would make a lot of sense.
