When I received the call about the death of a blogger, I was in Kisii, the network was so bad that I had to climb a hill from a river where I had gone to check trees ....... first before I could listen properly and decide whether to break the story.

I listened to the narration from his friend and immediately told him, “Hii case tusipoharakisha, the police will cook it,” especially after he said Lagat’s name had come up in the matter.

The friend did not want me to mention Lagat, but I told him, “Wacha kaende,” because once you start removing the most important part of a story, you are already helping people bury it.
