@james79rigby@LFC I have been saying this. I can't fathom since when Liverpool fans became so obsessed with big name managers, klopp's last 2 years at Dortmund were a mess. We were still happy to have him. Slot failure this year was due to his arrogance..
Liverpool refused to pay £20m for Guehi in January, then let Konaté leave in the summer. Now they'll probably spend £60-70m on a new CB anyway. For that money, we could've had both Guehi and Konaté at the club. That's not smart squad planning...
@OnlyArsenalFeed@AnfieldPapers@LFCDataBase First of all congratulations to Arsenal. And please ignore the banter, it's the nature of this game and fans. Enjoy the best time...
@RousingTheKop Iroala never moaned or complained about losing key players to bigger clubs. He just got on with it, worked with what he had, and kept improving the team. That's the mentality of a winner, regardless of how many trophies are in the cabinet.
We need a manager who can rebuild the bridge between the academy and the first team, a bridge that feels like it was lost during Slot's time. Klopp used to attend academy matches, knew the youngsters, and gave them a genuine pathway to the first team.
One thing I've noticed about Iraola at Bournemouth: he's a coach and a trainer. He doesn't make excuses or complain about what he doesn't have. He works with the players at his disposal, improves them, and gets the best out of them.
Slot won us the league and that was unbelievable. But many fans started losing faith after the PSG ties. The way he spoke about PSG made it sound like Liverpool had overachieved just by competing with them. We respect big clubs, but Liverpool go toe-to-toe with anyone.
Sky Sports know exactly how to boost their ratings. Get Carragher talking about Salah or Liverpool, get Roy Keane going after Fernandes or United, and the headlines write themselves. Two of England's biggest clubs = guaranteed views, clicks and TRPs.
Carragher and others keep blaming Salah, but he was the first to raise concerns when it mattered. He did it for the fans, the club and the players. He could've stayed quiet, left, and watched the fallout. Instead, he spoke up. That's leadership and selflessness.
Why would Luis Enrique leave PSG for Liverpool? He's won back-to-back Champions Leagues and isn't going anywhere. He left Barcelona because the pressure was exhausting. At PSG, he doesn't face the same weekly scrutiny. At Liverpool, every result is under a microscope.
Now that Xabi Alonso is gone to Chelsea, Liverpool should seriously look at Andoni Iraola if they ever move on from Arne Slot.
High pressing, fearless football, tactical bravery and intensity, probably the closest thing to Klopp style of play..
Thank you, Arne Slot, for giving us another Premier League title. You'll always be considered a Liverpool legend for bringing the trophy back to Anfield. YNWA. ❤️🏆 #LFC
Never seen a CB lose more partners in Premier League history than VVD, yet he gets blamed for every poor performance. He's had to play with midfielders at CB, without a proper RB at times, and Liverpool still haven't replaced Fabinho with a true DM to protect the back four.
Wow, it's happening. Slot is in the final stage of playing "Slot-ball"with Klopp's squad. One by one,Klopp's players are out, only VVD & Alisson are left. The team that brought us success is being dismantled & where's Spirit of Shankly? They getting paid to keep their mouths shut.
Liverpool can’t always afford blockbuster signings. Klopp built title-winning squads with smart “system players” like Robertson, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri. We should target the best players from relegated clubs to build depth and challenge again next season
Officially the end of an era. Thank you Salah for making us dream again and turning it into reality.
Salah, Mane & Firmino brought us unforgettable memories. Klopp built a legendary team.
And Robertson — passion, pressing and fight every game. Thank you ❤️
@YazzLFC@PushonBasu2 💯 agree with you. He has proven himself at another premier league club and with a smàll budget he has done a lot. He is not just a good coach but an excellent tactician.. he knows his players and how his team plays.
Klopp built the foundation, the system, the mentality.Slot walked into a title-winning structure. But instead of building on Klopp’s work, he wanted his own identity, changed the style, started tearing apart Klopp’s squad & now Liverpool look like a club on the verge of collapse.
