How can he stay ?
It’s shocking
Between that, the crowd’s constant whistling, the ref’s whistle obsession and The Reds not being able to pass to each other again, that’s up there with the least I’ve enjoyed the match-watching experience in a while
Top of the league
I know PL refs are bad, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen one of these kinds of European refs, the ones that are just impossibly gullible and will literally stop play 100% of the time if a player pretends he’s fouled.
Short memory considering the state of the tackle that Tarkowski got away with at Anfield just a few months ago.
Everton also benefitted from scoring the 8th minute of 5 added minutes at Goodison last season. But yeah, all the refs isn’t it 👍
Don’t recall him bringing up added time when they got an extra 3 minutes over the allotted time at Goodison when Tarkowski scored
Serial moaner and loser
If we factor in the guaranteed sale of Harvey Elliott for LFC, Arsenal net outspent everyone this summer.
Over the past 5 years, AFC have spent (net) double that of LFC and Man City. Approx £700m vs LFC’s and Man city’s approx 350m each.
The idea that Arteta deserves some grace because he’s ’at least made Arsenal competitive again’, doesn’t take into account the sheer scale of the club’s investment.
In the past 5 years, no English club has put their foot down financially, quite like Arsenal.
And Newcastle also don’t need to worry that they’re being left behind by ‘the cartel’. Their £450m net spend over the past 5 years eclipses that of LFC and City.
