#DYK female cardiologists are less likely to choose #InterventionalCardiology due to concerns about radiation exposure? The #SCAIWIN#RadiationSafety Campaign aims to address this by offering accurate info and supporting women in the field. Learn more ➡️ https://t.co/AOwQ2sjoUn
@SCAIWIN supports the formation of a formal interventional cardiology fellowship match. This is one way we can help to ensure diversity within our community. Please commit to this important initiative today!! https://t.co/XqJs0wH9Vs @SCAI@scaielm@SCAI_Prez
One of my favorite parts of clinic day is changing the diagnosis on my patients’ Epic problem lists from “aortic valve stenosis, severe” to “s/p TAVR” 😄
Quintessential pandemic working motherhood: attending #ACC22 virtually given my children are not yet vaccine eligible, but kept today off to fully soak it in. Now home with baby too bc COVID exposure ➡️ no childcare, but at least showing her what a cardiologist looks like #WIC
Has the growth in the aortic valve replacement volume kept pace with the expanding population of patients with severe aortic stenosis? We tried to answer this question in the upcoming issue of @JACCJournals

A fun Valentine’s Day for the @OhioHealth Structural Heart Team. 4 TAVRs, one of each valve available in the US: a Sapien, an Evolut, an Acurate Neo, and a Portico! Have any other sites done all 4 in one day? @StevenYakubov@caresans26@IleahRACNP
@caresans26@OhioHealth@StevenYakubov It’s been so much fun and you all are just incredible to work with. 4 months here already. Thank you for everything!
Week highlights: discharged to home my pt 10 days after anterior STEMI/ refractory VF arrest/shock/Impella. My 1st PE thrombectomy pt looked great in clinic. 2 rota PCI (one a CTO). AND, 🙌 an antegrade LAMPOON Valve-in-MAC TMVR. Awesome teamwork at @OhioHealth@StevenYakubov
Important read. When a woman publicly addresses sexism, she risks dying on that hill. Most are not at a stage of their career where that is tolerable. My deepest gratitude to Dr. Cybulsky for taking hers on.
First female cardiologist in my hospital (out of 16 cardiologist) and first female Interventional cardiologist in my city #McAllen@DHRhealth
Excited to advocate for my patients and apply what I’ve learned @YaleCardiology@YNHH@YaleVAMOS

🙌 to our surgical colleagues for raising their voices about childbearing during training. We struggle with the same issues in IC, where the training years are too short and inflexible to have a baby yet too long and too far into our 30’s to not. Many good suggestions here.
I had both of my children during surgical training. A health crisis made waiting until after I graduated a non-option. I’m so glad I had my babies when I did — but it was hard. Let’s make it easier for future childbearing surgical residents. See our latest in @AnnalsofSurgery
