@AuronMacintyre If demanding more or trying to hold elected leaders accountable instantaneously makes one a demoralization op we got a serious problen brewing.
That bullying is the strategy suggests there really isnt an interest in actual persuasion or trying to get people to rethink a position. Its understandable if you accept that Israeli's by and large no longer care what people think about them (which an argument can be made for they dont)
But if they just help maga and other rw causes and lean into comedy you'd see that number get back up to the 50s.
The fear of what the democrats may do if reelected or taking positions of power at this present time not enough of a motivator to be optimistic about the mid terms.
You cant keep calling it a golden era when everyone is feeling the pinch of the cost of living as the war threatens to make that continue to go up.
Thats before we even address the issues which many of his base feel betrayed about. I have a family member that was a legitimate day 1 Trumper from the escalator who now you would think he has TDS the way he feels betrayed.
There are many out there like that.
@Matt_in_America@MattWalshBlog So you're one of those "id rather lose with my principles than be in power" type of conservatives huh?
Out of curiosity, were you a never trumper or desantis suppoter in the last primary?
Lets see the results coming soon. His platform and statements seem geared towards attracting a younger audience that historically doesnt turn out in mass. Florida historically has an older population and so you're going to need them if you want to win.
The headlines his campaign generate are designed for an internet/national audience (JQ, calling Byron flirting with racial undertones). Stunts like that are not going to get him elected or serve him in the general.
His website platform uses generic platitudes but just taking one for example regarding insurance premiums one of the 4 bulletpoints is referencing outdated laws that have already been banned.
Its good he gives good lipservice to combat insurance company greed. No one else is so be deserves some credit for that.
Lets put it this way, i am not a fan of his but would vote for him over byron. If byron is the nominee im likely voting Jolly.
A democrat as governor with the republican dominated legislature and conservative leaning supreme court, we dont need too much if Byron goes down in flames.
Even assuming this story is accurate (which given the source is reason for skepticism)
That the POTUS needed to be advised or consulted about vandalism charge/dismissal and with all the other things on his plate (war, economy, save act) this is what is apparently making him upset?
We got other problems if this report is true
He abandoned his domestic policy and chose foreign adventures.
Maybe one day we'll get the documentary and explanation as to why. But it is becoming increasingly more difficult to trust/support his decision to go into Iran.
While the democrats have no message, do the republicans have one either?
Not a lot of reason for optimism other than protecting the Republicans from what the democrats would do if back in power. Not the best motivator.
@unusual_whales Its like he gave up on his domestic policy after the first year realizing the republican legislature were not competent enough to take advantage of having majorities even slim ones.
A mistake the democrats dont make.
@EmbSpainUK Where is the footage of either the self-deportation or of the caravans driving them back?
A sudden influx of 50K ppl back and forth over the border, surely there is footage of the masses returning...
@MarioNawfal Someone has the whatsapp and telegram group chat that coordinated it.
What is a reasonable estimate as to the amount of time to get that many people mobilized for the same day? Something like that has to take weeks to plan.
@JackPosobiec A simple return to the idea that borders and citizenship of a particular nation actually mean something and enact policies designed to preserve those principles.
Also Reject moral relativism in all its forms.
@MarioNawfal This is obscene and requires a response. This goes to one of the core of governmental fuctions: To protect the border. Otherwise you dont have a nation-state.
Not going to pretend there are not bad apples but it cuts to both sides of that aisle. Lot of truth to what you said but there is plenty of counter-narrative evidence of bad insurance company behavior.
Insurance companies will purposely and routinely lowball claims and apply exclusions that are not supported by the evidence which often translates to forcing the matter in litigation. From a business standpoint it makes sense, why would they pay X amount willingly, if they can go to litigation and likely pay less overall? This happens in health, auto, property.
Let's also not pretend the damage and health experts hired by the insurance company (whether in litigation or not) are the hired mercenaries like you suggest.
I can only speak for FL but the idea that the Plaintiffs bar as a collective powerful lobbying force is not supported by any evidence far as FL is concerned. 2022 and 2023 the massive tort reform was a huge gift to the insurance companies on FL and bad for consumers.
Lawyers, even Morgan and Morgan cant compete with the insurance company in terms of raw lobbying power. Just deeper pockets.
@cleanslaterun Many of the people that install them do so incorrectly and will damage the roof. So once the roof starts leaking and then insurance claim is made the insurance company just denies the claim.
@BowTiedKong Probably just an annoying week and morning. Unfortunately most criminal defendant clients tend to be poor, so unless you go white collar or federal defense clientele you'll have your percentages of annoyance to deal with.
Do the appointed case at least pay at market rate?
Very much so. Yes it takes training and discipline on the presentation to find the dot right away. But it might be objectively faster once learned properly. Free promo to Ben Stoegers book on the subject. Great instructions there. His advice for finding the dot all the time works.
