It really is scary to watch in real time as all the radical energy that the Palestine movement worked so hard to cultivate in the last three years gets folded into a few career politicians trying to redeem the political party that actually carried out the genocide.
I remember how everyone here was devastated for punch-a baby monkey with some toy thingy..
The kids being orphaned in a genocide does not seem to move people the same way here.

Gaza’s Orphans
Look at them.
Children sleeping on the cold floor of a shelter, piled together like forgotten bundles. No parents left to hold them.
This is the reality of Gaza’s orphans — tens of thousands of children who have lost one or both parents to Israeli bombs, many buried under the rubble of their own homes. So many were left wounded with no surviving family that a new acronym had to be created: WCNSF — Wounded Child, No Surviving Family.
The inhumanity is staggering.
A large majority of Israeli society has openly supported this ethnic cleansing and genocide — cheering the destruction, justifying the starvation, and celebrating the death of children. Polls and street interviews have repeatedly shown this sickening consensus. The IDF carries out the slaughter with the full backing of a population that has dehumanised Palestinians to the point of monstrosity.
These are not "collateral damage."
These are deliberate crimes.
A genocide that has turned an entire generation into orphans, trauma carved into their tiny bodies and souls.
Yet still they breathe.
Still they huddle together for warmth.
The world sees your suffering, Gaza.
The orphans’ eyes will haunt this century.
We will not forget.
We will not forgive the silence of those who enabled this.
Free Palestine.
Lloyds debanks The Canary with no explanation and are currently withholding their funds.
This sets a very dangerous precedent and attack on Independent media.
Journalism is NOT a crime
words wholly inadequate to express the breadth & depth of the catastrophic failure of humanity (self included) in the face of the ongoing genocide in gaza
British Museum colludes with pro-Israel lobby to erase Palestine from historical exhibits
——
An investigation by Middle East Eye has exposed the British Museum for covertly removing the terms “Palestine,” “Palestinian,” and “Israeli occupation” from its historical displays following intensive lobbying by pro-Israel activists. Internal emails obtained via a freedom of information request reveal that the London institution rapidly altered descriptions of artifacts dating back to 7,500 BCE to appease political pressure groups, including the Board of Deputies of British Jews and high-profile figures.
While museum director Nick Cullinan publicly claimed the changes were part of a standard curation refresh and backed by audience testing, the newly released disclosures confirm that no visitor research regarding the term "Palestine" was ever conducted.
The internal correspondence details a frantic effort by museum staff to pacify complaints lodged between October and December 2024, with one directive explicitly ordering curators to remain hyper-conscious of the anniversary of 7 October. In one instance, a panel describing ancient rulers of “Palestinian descent” was scrubbed and changed to “Canaanite origin” within five hours of receiving a complaint from the Board of Deputies.
Middle East Eye cross-referenced the redacted emails to identify key lobbyists, including right-wing commentators and historians who weaponized access to the museum's leadership to argue that historical references to an ancient Israelite occupation would stoke modern antisemitism.
The targeted erasure has sparked a severe diplomatic and cultural backlash, with Palestinian Ambassador to the UK Husam Zumlot accusing the public institution of betraying its historical integrity to serve political ends. Cultural figures and human rights defenders have condemned the museum for complicity in what the United Nations classifies as an ongoing genocide in Gaza, noting that the bureaucratic deletion of Palestinian history in London directly mirrors the physical destruction of heritage sites on the ground.
Despite photographic evidence showing that references to "modern Palestine" were replaced with "Gaza and the West Bank" at gallery entrances, the British Museum has refused to answer specific inquiries, issuing a blanket denial to Middle East Eye that any erasure took place.
Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a 65-year-old Palestinian Christian woman.
Jamila Abu Dahu, a Palestinian Christian researcher and academic from Ramallah, was kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces during a pre-dawn raid on her home today.
Born in 1961 into a family long known for its national activism, Abu Dahu serves as Director of Program Development and Aid at the Health Work Committees and is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO).
Throughout her career, she has led and contributed to numerous humanitarian and community initiatives, particularly on social issues, women’s rights, reproductive health, and support for vulnerable Palestinians. She has also authored numerous national studies and field-based research on Palestinian society and gender-related issues.
Israeli occupation forces seized her after storming her home in the Ramallah al-Tahta neighborhood as part of a wider wave of raids across the occupied West Bank.
On this day Israeli teenagers abducted Palestinian teenager Mohammed Abu Khdeir forced him to drink gasoline and burned him alive in a forest in Jerusalem Palestine
Read that again and again!
As a parent, I can't even begin to imagine the pain this grieving father and the boy's mother must be feeling. It would break me completely. I think I would literally lose my mind.
Do not get used to Palestinian children being killed.
There is nothing normal about a child being murdered.
The repetition of the crime does not make it ordinary. It makes it a greater tragedy.
Stay outraged.
