When I first heard that McAfee was releasing an album, I thought it was a joke. Damn, if he didn't do it!
I'm not in his musical demographic, so it's not on my "listen list".
However, I think it's great that he's taking risks & having fun. That's what life is all about.
@JalenRose When was Michigan last National Championships in basketball? Yeah, 1989! North Carolina has won 4 National Championships since then! Has the Michigan job better?
Maturity is when you go beyond your feelings. You don’t let them dictate your life. You choose joy, you choose a good attitude, you choose to have a smile. This can save relationships, help you get along better with your children. This can help you go to the next level in your career.
The Scripture says, “When you’re good to your enemies, it’s like heaping coals of fire on their head.” When you’re good to those who are not good to you, not only will you rise higher, but God will deal with those who are treating you unfairly.
We feel pressure to fix things and take matters into our own hands. We strive and struggle, only to end up frustrated. Even with our good intentions, sometimes the best course of action is to leave things alone. That battle is not ours to fight; it belongs to the Lord.
Create an atmosphere of praise. “Lord, thank You for waking me up this morning. Thank You for giving me breath to breathe. Thank You that I’m healthy. Thank You for my family, for opportunity, for protection, for favor.”
After nearly a year I have finished entire Old Testament and the experience of re reading, dedicated focus and no drifting has made this a humbling overwhelming experience. What a treasure.
Three days into New Testament.
Let me encourage you, your time is coming. What God promised you is on the way. Don’t get talked out of it. Don’t let people, delays, doubt, convince you to give up. Your breakthrough is already on the schedule. Your miracle has already been set in motion.
God will put you in situations, on purpose, where the odds are against you so He can show out in your life. It’s not there to stop you; it’s a setup for God to make you an example of His goodness. He will never let you get into a problem that He can’t bring you out of.
Don’t compare your life to other people. Run your race. God’s purpose for your life is not the same as theirs. Don’t look to the left or to the right. Stay focused on your calling.
Some people can’t go where God is taking you. They were great for a season, but God has ordained you to go higher. It takes greater commitment, greater consecration, greater faith. He’ll remove certain people who would limit you so you can fulfill your purpose.
If you feed fear, you’re going to live fearful. If you feed discouragement, you’re going to live discouraged. If you feed the past, if you keep dwelling on what didn’t work out, the mistakes you’ve made, you’ll live in regrets. Pay attention to what you’re feeding.
If you don’t learn to say no to some things, then nothing will change. Because the people that are counting on you to perform will always be there. They may not like it, but your health, your emotional well-being is more important than keeping everyone happy.
Don’t waste your time trying to change your critic’s mind. Don’t argue with people that don’t matter. What they think of you is not going to stop your destiny. Their opinion is not going to keep you from your purpose.
