Earlier this year BGS' mental health & wellbeing team invited staff to create the 'beadrock' geology of the UK out of craft beads.

Based on the UK & Ireland map published by BGS in 2017, it features 176 individual beaded squares, all assembled by staff.

Yesterday we welcomed Prof. Khairul Munadi, the Indonesian Education & Cultural Attaché, and members of the embassy team to the BGS.

We discussed strengthening BGS–Indonesia scientific partnerships on geohazards, mineral resources and geothermal energy. Lots to follow up on!
