Panel believes the data in a few years will be the potential inflection point. If they could have tested but didn't, what are their persistence & graduation rates? 1st 2 groups won't tell us. Colleges likely won't change policy unless grad rates erode.

Test optional doesn't mean you don't take the test at all. It's only about sharing scores. Secondary ed had a lot of parent education to do and why tests are still important as one piece of your story. (Morman)

Digital SAT test window is a month. More secure and more flexible. 35k kids have taken it so far (pilot). Student feedback has been positive.

Digital SAT still on a 1600 scale. Still proctored at test centers and schools.

Will require laptop or tablet (school or personal). Will be shorter (100 q over 2 hrs). Faster receipt of scores. All math allowed calculators. 1 q per reading passage.
