William turns 44 celebrating on a £1.1bn Duchy fortune that raked in £22.9m profit, while being exempt from inheritance and corporation tax.
His £7m "voluntary" tax bill is a PR stunt. He can deduct expenses, **no one oversees it**, and he's paying less than 45% on his millions
Will he submit to independent auditing and declare all his income, not just his tax? And will the government make them liable for all the same taxes as the rest of us?

Robert, I think you and much of the Westminster media are looking at this entirely from the wrong end of the telescope.
The real issue is not whether ministers could nominate Andy Burnham whilst remaining in government. Nor is it whether Sir Keir Starmer would face a difficult political choice. The real question is what such a challenge would do to the Labour Party itself.
For many members, this would be an existential moment. Sir Keir Starmer led Labour from opposition to government and delivered a landslide victory after years in the political wilderness. If, after barely two years in office, sections of the Parliamentary Labour Party sought to remove him, they should not assume that members and voters would simply accept it.
The danger is not that Starmer loses authority. The danger is that Labour loses its coalition of support altogether.
I have spoken to many members who make it clear that they did not join or remain in the party to facilitate an internal coup against a leader who won a General Election. Many would leave. Some say permanently. Once that trust is broken, it is exceptionally difficult to rebuild.
Westminster often assumes that leadership contests are simply matters of parliamentary arithmetic. They are not. They are also matters of legitimacy, loyalty and public perception. The electorate tends to take a dim view of politicians who use one leader to secure power and then move against them once they have obtained office.
If those advocating a challenge believe the public will applaud such behaviour, I suspect they may be making a profound miscalculation. The consequence may not be a stronger Labour Party under new leadership. It may be a fractured party, a collapsing membership base and the loss of support from voters who conclude that Labour has once again become more interested in itself than in governing the country.
That is the risk. Not for Starmer, but for Labour itself.
So let me see if I have this straight. A care home sends a mentally disabled man on a trip to the zoo with only two people to mind him. He gets away from them and throws a toddler down a 15 foot drop into a pit full of crocodiles. The police then release him back to the same people who let him get away from them in the first place.
How is ANY of that acceptable? Do they not have secure mental health facilities for the criminally insane? It’s hard to think of a better example of criminal insanity than throwing a toddler into a crocodile enclosure without understanding what you did. The facility he’s currently in clearly doesn’t take appropriate precautions to protect the general public from his behavior. I refuse to believe that this is the only time he’s ever been violent.

I do wonder whether Labour's financial team are seriously worried about what happens next should Andy Burnham ever succeed in displacing Keir Starmer.
Commentators seem obsessed with what a handful of MPs think, but they keep forgetting who actually funds the Labour Party and who ultimately holds the votes in any leadership contest. It is not the Parliamentary Labour Party. It is the membership.
There are around 350,000 members contributing every month, many paying far more than the basic subscription. Add trade union support on top and that represents a substantial financial base. Since Labour returned to government, many more people have joined the party to show solidarity with the government and support for the direction it is taking. Their voices matter just as much as those of members who have been in the party for decades.
What I am seeing across multiple social media platforms is not universal enthusiasm. Quite the opposite. Longstanding members, some with decades of service behind them, are openly saying they would cancel their memberships if Burnham became leader. Others are talking about walking away from the party altogether.
There is also a wider issue of democratic legitimacy. If a sitting Prime Minister and Labour leader were challenged in such extraordinary circumstances, every member who contributes to the party should have a vote, whether they joined sixty years ago or six weeks ago. Excluding newer members from participating in a decision of this magnitude would send a very poor message about how the party values their support.
The six month qualifying rule may be appropriate in normal circumstances, but these would not be normal circumstances. The Labour Party has never before found itself in a position where a sitting Prime Minister could face a leadership challenge so soon after winning a general election and returning the party to government.
Should such a contest arise, the NEC ought to consider suspending the standing orders relating to the six month rule and allow every member in good standing to participate. At a moment of such importance for the future of the party, every member's voice should be heard.
That is the gamble. Strip away all the noise and Labour remains in government, is delivering on large parts of its manifesto and still holds a commanding parliamentary majority. Yet some seem determined to create a crisis where none exists.
If Burnham's supporters are wrong about the mood of the membership, they may discover that replacing a Prime Minister is the easy part. Replacing the members, activists, volunteers and funding that leave afterwards is rather more difficult.
Remember when they sold us the slogan, “Go paperless, save trees, save the planet”?
Now we've gone digital, and it's consuming enormous amounts of water, destroying ecosystems, harming bees, and contributing to environmental damage on a scale paper never did.
A very dangerous new nightmare we are living in Gaza City, and no one in the world is paying attention to it.
Days ago, the Israeli army installed huge military cranes, each about 30 meters tall, on the eastern areas it controls. These cranes are equipped with machine guns and cameras, and they fire randomly and almost continuously at tents, streets, and exposed neighborhoods.
Gaza City is extremely narrow, only 10 kilometers wide. A single crane at that height is enough to expose the entire city from east to west. Every street, every square, every tent, every house has become completely exposed. There is no place to hide, and not a single moment of safety.
In just the past two days, three people were killed by fire from these cranes. One of them was sitting quietly with his father in a small café, trying to breathe for a few minutes. Hours later, a 5year old girl was killed while playing near her home.
These cranes have turned the entire city into an open field. The latest military technologies are directed at civilians. We have become an open testing ground for their new weapons. The horror is not just in the sound… it is the constant feeling of being an exposed target at all times, where even children cannot run in the street without fear.
It’s an amazing report which nails how Russia’s hybrid warfare programme actually works & how Russia is explicitly & directly inciting racialised violence in UK - & working with Tommy Robinson to do so - as well as directing acts of violence
against PM.
