National Trails Day was last weekend, but we are celebrating trails all month! Get into the spirit by learning more about the birds and wildflowers you can spot along the LHT. Check out our ongoing series of hyperlocal field guides at the site.
On National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4, we are hosting a bike ride celebrating history along the trail. Meet us at the Bergen Street parking lot in Village Park, Lawrenceville, at 9:30am, for a ten-mile route that includes stops at several of our ‘History on the LHT’ markers.

National Trails Day, the first Saturday in June, is an opportunity to recognize the amazing benefits our trails provide — for recreation, exercise, and exposure to nature.

Did you know? The Brearley Oak is up to 450 years old, its trunk is 20 feet around, it’s the largest black oak in the state and it “requires regular visits from arborists and specialists.” as well as watering during dry spells.
