The challenge to Kuki indigeneity was not based on history but on NSCN-IM’s deliberate campaign of deception. To justify their ethnic cleansing of Kukis, NSCN-IM leaders forged documents, twisting narratives without citing a single verifiable source.

When American Baptist leaders came to investigate the Kuki Genocide, NSCN-IM presented them with a book full of manufactured histories and outright lies. Their persuasive tactics worked, as the American Baptists of that time were deeply influenced by Billy Graham’s visit to Kohima, just a few years before the genocide. This relationship blinded them to the truth, and NSCN-IM’s fabrications went unchallenged for decades.

But God works in mysterious ways. While no Kuki had set out to formally debunk the NSCN-IM’s lies, Miss Prisha , a PhD candidate at SOAS, London, unknowingly shattered their false narratives through her doctoral research. Her meticulous verification exposed the NSCN-IM’s propaganda for what it was—lies crafted to justify mass murder.

Now, let this be a warning to the Meiteis who copy NSCN-IM’s tactics to justify their own crimes against the Kukis—lies will never stand the test of time. You may enjoy the fruits of deception for a moment, but the truth will dismantle it eventually. And by the time the lie collapses, countless innocent lives may already be lost.
