For the first time in 10 months Police Commissioner Ryder is finally issuing an update on Police Reform to the Public Safety Committee of the Nassau County Legislature.

The @NassauCountyPD has released data that is, by their own admission, incomplete. If they want to disprove that Black and brown people are disproportionately subjected to use of force and pat downs, then release the data to refute that conclusion!
The Denver program to send social workers instead of police (STAR) has responded to over 2,200 calls low-level/intox/MH calls.
They have never called for police back-up due to a safety issue.
