Last night crews were called to a fire in a sub-basement laundry room at a hotel in #Cricklewood. Around 180 people evacuated from the hotel before the Brigade arrived and no injuries are reported. https://t.co/x2nenuDDdM
Today on #999Day we're sadly revealing new data which shows that our firefighters and Control Officers are increasingly suffering from regular incidents of offensive behaviour. Just last week, a firefighter was bitten by a resident while attending a fire https://t.co/XrjQAV6Bu9
"I don't know how you guys do that" 👩🚒

@LFBControlRoom@LondonFire Congratulations Ms. Williams, what a fantastic amount of service. I wish you a long and happy retirement into whatever you do next!
Twenty one years ago today 343 firefighters lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks - much-loved family members and friends who would never return home.
Today, we remember them and all the victims of these attacks.

If you wondered what it's like to be close to a grass fire, take a look at this video showing just how quickly they can spread. This is what our crews have faced frequently in recent weeks. Help to prevent grass fires - don't BBQ in parks & dispose of cigarettes & glass properly

In the 1st three months of 2022, the LFB attended 19 incidents where pumps were made 8 or above.
However, since Tuesday this week, the LFB has attended 18 incidents where pumps have been made 8 or above.
That’s quite astounding…

My thoughts are with the bereaved, survivors and relatives from the horrific fire in Grenfell tower 5 years ago today, and with the brave firefighters, officers and control staff from @LondonFire and @metpoliceuk and @Ldn_Ambulance. A night that has changed us forever 💔💚💔💚
Take 1,358...🎬 (or something like that 😉)
