The $30K dev agency MVP is dead.
You don’t need a year to validate an idea.
I built a working prototype on https://t.co/o9DPqezTCg in 10 minutes.
No code. No engineers. Just speed.
Founders: build fast, validate faster.
Scale with real engineers after you’ve got traction.
‘The world isn’t waiting for more of the same.’ - @RickRubin
Besides for running a creative tech B2B SaaS company, I skateboard & make music. You would think these ‘hobbies’ are misaligned with my career.
Nope - this is where I learned:
Grit
Patience
Composure
Confidence
@RickRubin says “The world isn’t waiting for more of the same.” I’ve taken that to heart.
I’m a B2B SaaS founder, but my ‘hobbies’ are ‘unrelated.’
Skateboarding taught me patience & grit. Music taught me design, composure & story-telling. Both, help me run my company.

I’m a B2B SaaS founder, but my ‘hobbies’ aren’t what you’d think…
Skateboarding taught me patience & grit. Music taught me design, composure & story-telling. Nothing has helped more…
Getting to ‘no’ is so important in a startup. Don’t waste your energy trying to convince the wrong customer that your product is the right solution.
This oftentimes has little to do with the caliber of your prospect and usually comes from the seller improperly targeting.
Growth is understanding things that worked in the past won’t always work in the future
We learn from failure & acknowledge our mistakes
But why not acknowledge that doing what you did yesterday today, would be a mistake, but accept that it was the right thing back then
If you’re waking up feeling foggy and unmotivated, you’re burnt out or close to it.
Finding time to recharge is so key & I needed a better way to find a getaway quickly without extensive planning.
That’s why I made the world’s best travel planner

Spent the last 10 hours making music for my first full length album.
Such a crazy process. So strangely technical - what used to be done completely by analog gear is now all software.
That’s why I always say my music is not so different from my company.
Design is design.
The enemy is standing still.
As long as you move forward, you’re going in the right direction.
Set course & be ready to take different routes to get to your destination. There is no linear path.
Movement exposes the route to keep you on course.
Life moves in waves. Sound, light, seasons, water.
You can’t fail if you stay consistent and show up. Time changes everything.
Don’t judge yourself when the wave is at its lowest. This is where you build, wait for it to grow and be ready to jump once it’s at its highest.
Never limit yourself
Anything you truly get joy from doing is not holding you back
The hobbies you have, the things you love & what you can make $ from is more connected than you think.
You can use diagrams & mind maps, etc. to make these connections.
Pursue connections.

Lot of people have something to prove to everyone else.
I have something to prove to myself. To be better than I was last year, 1 month ago, yesterday.
Your expectations of me could never be higher than the expectations I have of myself. Period.

This was a huge lesson for me to learn.
I spent so much time listening and surrounding myself with the wrong people.
Sometimes it’s good to take people’s advice that are pessimistic, negative and cynical - so you know exactly what not to do…
