just worked a 13 hr day

…and juuuust realized it

when ppl ask “how many hrs a week do you work” I usually say…

“I really have no clue”

Yes it’s corny as hell but when you’re a founder and you love what you’re building, you are definitely not counting time.

hours just compound into days into years (into…decades?) and somehow you’re building the same company BUT your roles shift. it’s kinda like a completely new job and title year in and year out.

and I think that’s truly the best part.

this shit sucks a lot of time but I’m so grateful we can literally just build. With no rules (unless you have investors lol).

That’s what business is about.

We’re just a lil curious kids pushing what we can create.

7 years…wow 🦊

Remember, remember the 5th of November.

I’m never great about looking in the past, but 7yrs in business is quite the milestone.

I’ll always remember the long nights and the painful growing pains. The small but memorable wins. The “will this ever work?” and the “am I dreaming big enough?”

And the ever slow magic of compound interest…

Survive and advance. That’s all business is about. If you consistently work your ass off, a lil lucky, and passionate about your mission, you’ll never have to worry about it working out.

it’s the hardest but most rewarding path, in this game we call life. some call us crazy (bc we are). But “the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

I’m so incredibly grateful you all are so supportive, loving, and fired up on our journey. we truly couldn’t and wouldn’t, do it without you.

today I had my “airport moment”

spent the last 2 days in Big Sur on my end of year annual retreat. it’s the perfect time to reflect, pause, and think of the future.

It mostly centers around business goals but definitely personal goals intertwined as well.

I go into a small local coffee shop, grab a coffee and the barista points at my vest. “Oh, like GUY FOX the cologne company, yeah?”

For a good while I thought I was getting punk’d…bc there’s no way lol

“uhh yeah! ….I’m actually the founder. you caught me off guard 😂”

“my boyfriend loves you guys!”

If the stars didn’t align for that interaction, idk what did!

I think I got the “airport moment” from @stevenborrelli where you see your product being used by someone in a seemingly random situation, like an airport.

since you can’t “see” our fragrances it was wild that she knew us through a random merch item.
