๐จ๐ฌ๐ง NO MORE REFUGEE WEEK IN ST HELENS!
Reform UK council in St Helens Merseyside delivers real change putting British people first.
St Helens Borough Council now led by Reform UK after the recent local elections has withdrawn all council support and funding for Refugee Week events scheduled June 15 to 21 2026.
Council leader Cllr George Woodward made the announcement making clear the authority will not engage with or fund Refugee Week this year and is demanding the return of any money already spent or committed.
The previous administration had earmarked 60k of hard earned taxpayers money for these events which the new leadership will now redirect to genuine local priorities amid growing anger over out of control immigration and wasteful spending.
This decisive action reflects widespread frustration with mass migration that is overwhelming housing the NHS and essential public services record net migration levels and the failure of open border policies.
No more virtue signalling with British residents money.
Councils should prioritise their own citizens over endless Refugee Week events and political stunts.
