Hello, I'm Liam Turner, an Adelaide, Australia based indie game developer. Currently I'm working solo on @ElementElixir . My portfolio is at https://t.co/Bo3yNzSWg4 . Currently I'm looking for a game industry job.
@MightyKingdom Hi MK, I've been having some issues with the application process. Clicking to view the info for 3D Art sends me to a google drive link that I need to request access to. But also clicking to apply directs me to a microsoft login which gives me this error
So this was just an update with how things have been going and why I've been so silent on here and on @ElementElixir . However I hope that I'll be at AVCon next year to show off the game because last year's showcase was an unforgettable experience I really enjoyed
It's been a long time since I've tweeted! Originally I had planned to work on @ElementElixir for most of the year, with intentions of showcasing at AVCon and then PAX AUS.
As such, @ElementElixir is effectively shelved until things clear up, or I'm able to find more stable income with more free time. However, in a way EE was designed originally to showcase my skills and help land a job, and now I have a job doing 3D work though not in a studio
@dyunster @ElementElixir Thankyou for the retweet Danna~ EE is on a bit of a hiatus at the moment. But hopefully next year, when conventions are happening again, it will be getting more attention
Pushed an update for @ElementElixir . Didn't get everything done as much as I had wanted but felt obliged to update the game for people wondering if it was still being worked on. Found I was accidentally starting to feature creep the update.
It's tough being the only person working on @ElementElixir sometimes. Because if I get busy with work, job applications or freelance projects then development effectively stops. An update will be out soon but it's long overdue.
Reggie's little speech at the #TheGameAwards was really nice. It's unfortunate that Valve pulled out at the last moment, hopefully nothing major. Also was expecting a smash announcement the whole time.
@malfubabbu I mostly like the art/character design. LoL always felt like a random mishmash of ideas to me. But also Dota 2 is a valve game so that made me want to try it
