Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas

So tired of still seeing arguments against AI that are primarily about the quality of its output. Missing the point and gives them a bar that they can clear
Please consider supporting folks in tough situations who lost things like life insurance completely unexpectedly.
If you're unable, please signal boost. Or if you're in the industry, leverage your network to help connect people to potential opportunities.
Focus on the humans
Day 1 of Life After Epic: Had a productive morning installing all my editing software on my personal machine to get up and running to be able to do some freelance work if the opportunity arises. I've never had to pay for my software before. This sucks lol.
Please be kind today, we lost a bunch of extremely talented members of the team. To those affected, I know you’ll get snatched up quickly - please support these folk in any way you can. Everyone that works at Epic Games is incredible at what they do ❤️
I'm gonna respect my Epic NDA and confidentiality agreements, but as I come from the QA side of things I don't have concept art or artifacts of my work, all I have is memories and stories.
This is back open; if you're part of a (massive) layoff in the game industry you can request a product of mine for free. It's not much, but it might help you in your journey ahead. 🫂

It’s hard to describe to people not in entertainment. For almost all game devs, our work is also our hobby. We work on the things we choose to spend our free time on. We pour our hearts and souls into this work. We sacrifice so much to make people smile.
My heart is broken
Thousands of tournaments, millions of competitors, everything from Katowice to Late Game and more. My time at Epic Games has come to an abrupt end after 7 years.
I feel very lucky to have met so many great people along the way.
Now to figure out what's next...
Hi everyone, back in this place to share the news.
I was part of the layoffs at Epic Games today. I joined Epic 10 years ago, and I’m very proud of what I helped build there.
On to the next chapter. Great things to come.
Sic Parvis Magna.
My heart goes out to all of the people affected by the Epic Games layoffs today.
I’m happy to provide folks with recommendations, portfolio reviews, or just a person to vent to if needed.
It’s hard to love being in this industry when all it does is chew us up and spit us out.
Spending my birthday reposting everyone that got affected by layoffs today, what a fucking bleak time we’re in… If anyone affected today sees a listing, please feel free to reach out.

i am genuinely so confused and bewildered
like, i spent the past week debugging the rivalry system while recovering from pneumonia
and just in the past few days i’ve had multiple directors tell me how much they appreciate everything i do
