How I went from investment banking to making ketchup:
I graduated from Bristol University in 2015 and went into investment banking @jpmorgan as I thought it was the place where I'd learn the most and the quickest. I wasn't wrong.
Two years later I'd learnt a ton, loved my team but I was exhausted and I couldn't switch off outside of work.
I felt like I could have a crack at starting a company and didn't want to wait 10 years to speak to clients.
So I started networking and met two guys who had the idea for a healthy ketchup business. Some sauces are 50% sugar after all. Crazy...
Fast forward to 2023 and we are on the major supermarket shelves in the UK, export to 10 countries and have won 11 Great Taste awards on our products. After all, there's no point making the healthiest condiments if they don't taste delicious.
We're just getting started. Follow along on my journey here ๐
PS if you're thinking about exit opps from IB, never rule out ketchup...
@jesse_omezi Disagree. Best offensive player of all time, way better on D than he gets credit for (average to marginal net positive). Highest peak of all time in 2016
