NCC's Official Statement Regarding the Activity Arrangements for BOY STORY Member MINGRUI

Due to the needs of BOY STORY member MINGRUI's personal development and academic planning, after fully communicating with MINGRUI himself and his parents, and taking into consideration the company's actual circumstances, we hereby make the following statement regarding MINGRUI's subsequent activity arrangements:

MINGRUI will suspend all entertainment activities starting from August 30, 2026 for a period of two years. At this stage, he will prioritize his studies and focus on his personal education and future plans.

All along, MINGRUI has taken every stage and activity seriously, and has always cherished the love and support given to him by everyone. With regard to MINGRUI's personal wish at this stage to prioritize his studies, the company fully understands and respects his decision.

Thank you all for your continued care and support for MINGRUI and BOY STORY. We also hope that everyone can give MINGRUI more understanding and encouragement. We look forward to MINGRUI being able to focus on his goals and welcome a new stage of his life in a better state. One of the reasons I've been keeping up with every jyp monthly financial report ever since they all renewed their contracts is idk when someone might suddenly no longer be here anymore, especially when one of the members has said unless something changes, he won't renew his contract when it expires. In the financial reports, they list each current member of the groups directly managed by the headquarters, whereas for local groups, they only provide the number of members. Considering how little attention the company gives the group, if someone were to leave, we might not even get an official announcement.

I'm honestly so desperate that if this is really the end for us, just give us an official announcement. I'll accept anything.

NCC's official account didn't even post a birthday photo for the other non-hiatus member this year, the last time they did was for Qi's birthday last year. But while everyone assumed that their contract extensions would end next year, there was a specific announcement, which he also stated himself at the event that the hiatus would last for two years. And this was also discussed with the artist's parents.

I have a pretty bold theory that they've already considered renewing his contracts for another term. A two-year hiatus, he'll return for the group's 10th anniversary.
