@Boichi_Bo1 This is just my personal speculation, but maybe they released their own work before it was officially announced or published. That would probably infuriate the marketing people in Japan. They say “To Be Continued,” though, so I guess we’ll see where this goes...
Just speaking from personal experience, Japan sometimes feels more prone to mold than Southeast Asia. In summer, temperatures and humidity can reach levels comparable to Southeast Asia, and Japan also has a rainy season. In winter, however, outdoor temperatures drop significantly. When we heat our homes, warm indoor air comes into contact with cold windows and walls, which can cause a lot of condensation. Places like Singapore are humid year-round, but they don’t experience the same kind of cold winter temperatures, so you don’t get the same winter condensation problem.
@SecretlyToxic@michaelflux@romly2023 Singaporean households also use split-system air conditioners, just like in Japan. The best-selling brands are mostly Japanese, such as Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, and Panasonic, and if I remember correctly, they account for around 60% of the market.
