@tamboyce @drlucyfoulkes @YF_Foundation I don’t know what part of the world you live in, but I don’t need social media to tell me climate change is happening. It’s really unsettling to live in a humid climate that was once dry, and to have extreme weather events become common.
‘They lost their battle with cancer.’
How do you feel about war metaphors and cancer?
They make @Liz_ORiordan angry.
‘As a doctor, it didn’t bother me. But the minute I became a cancer patient I suddenly hated the war terminology.’
I wish I could’ve shown this to all of my health professionals (and colleagues, friends and family) when I was going through antidepressant withdrawal last year. I felt completely insane and I had to fight so hard to get liquid versions to reduce my dose slower.
@CharlotteCant exactly! I would find it much easier to accept not being able to get tickets if I hadn't spent 9 hours so far chained to my computer trying to get them
@Ticketek_AU My partner got through secured 2 tickets, put in credit card details etc and it timed out. She only signed up for the presale after the presale went live. I signed up when it was announced and have been sitting here for 3 hours waiting. What is this system?
@MasteroftheSun4 I like that Alone Australia is offering a different view - it’s not about conquering your environment, it’s about co-existing peacefully and respectfully with it. There’s more than one way to survive. Hunting isn’t the only way.
@Silas33 Because it’s not a simple fix and almost everyone working in the medical system is under an extreme amount of pressure and needs quick wins to survive.
LongCovid is debilitating & life-changing. We are going to disable millions more.
“Of the nearly 24 million adults in the U.S. who currently have long COVID, more than 80% are having some trouble carrying out daily activities, according to CDC data.” https://t.co/7pQrIAuWWB
@AwsmWthAutsm@AutSciPerson I have this problem and the AirPods Pro2 on the smallest fitting work for me, and at night I use a SleepPhones headband. I also use Flare Calmer for Kids.
People are literally training COVID if they share indoor air without a mask while ignoring child hospitalization, and using "immunity debt" as strong justification for both.
COVID trainers are a majority of the people with whom I interact. I sure wish that would change.

If nothing else, I told them to think of Covid as huge inflammatory process that causes injury, scarring and clots to form everywhere. That’s why we are seeing so many strokes, MIs, weird liver failure in peds, bowel ischemia, and long Covid. 4
I explained how Covid attaches to ACE2 receptors in the nose, throat, heart, kidneys, and gut first. That’s why you see a runny nose, sore throat, myocarditis and acute kidney failure first. There aren’t as many ACE 2 receptors in the lungs, so Covid hits the lungs later.
