As the child of an Irish 1950s migrant, I know the pain she felt when confronted by the ‘No blacks, no dogs, no Irish’ signs in lodgings. Britain is happy to benefit from the riches we’ve taken from these countries just not the people.

The whole purpose of the Windrush generation was to help regenerate a broken, post war Britain. Other cultures have enhanced not destroyed our culture.
