Only a fool would voluntarily go to a police station to 'explain' allegations of hate-speech.

People think they can explain - when it is their explanation that the police desperately need to 'top up' the evidence.

If this officer already had enough evidence to arrest and charge @GawTanya, he would have done so. The fact that he 'invites' her to the station indicates that he needs further words from her, further evidence to complete the charge.

This officer is looking to 'construct' a case. Perhaps he needs statements of intent from the suspect. You don't even know what he is looking to have you say and where he will lead the conversation.
