IRKO, Sound Engineer who’s worked with T.O.P on his new album, went live and answered some questions about him. Here’s a recap of everything, if you’ve missed it ⬇️

💬: How was it to work with TOP?
🎙️: TOP is an amazing soul, an amazing artist, an amazing person. It was fantastic working with TOP. It was very refreshing, it was very welcoming and warm. I can tell that he has lived and accumulated experiences over the years that eventually blossomed into songs that mean a lot. There’s a lot of passion and life impregnating the DNA of these songs, if you know what I mean. It was an incredible experience. TOP is amazing, JACKPOT is amazing, the whole team is amazing, Sean, everybody. It’s been amazing. I cannot wait for the whole world to hear this body of work. It’s not a collection of songs: it’s an exact album as albums are intended to be, with a beggining, a development, a second act and a closing. It’s an experience, it’s the wait every project should be, so shout out to TOP. That’s my guy, I cannot wait. You guys go out and pre-purchase, do the pre-sales of everything and let’s get this thing going!

💬: I guess we’re all excited about TOP’s album.
🎙️: Oh, for sure. I definitely am being excited about it.

💬: How long have you been friends with CH (TOP)
🎙️: CH? CH…? Oh, TOP, got it! About a year. Maybe a bit more than a year now. Something like that.

💬: How long did you work with TOP?
🎙️: I’ve worked with TOP for about a year now, more or less. What a guy, man. I cannot speak higher of the experience.

💬: Tell TOP that Mexico loves him and that I hope he visits soon.
🎙️: Alright, will do! I have a feeling that there gonna be a world tour soon with all of this.

🎙️: *about earlier* I got that now. I was like, CH? I call him TOP, so.

💬: Thanks for translating TOP’s heart into music and art for our ears.
🎙️: I mean, he did do the heavy lifting. I just facilitated the sonics of everything between him and JACKPOT. They produced an incredible body of work. It was a pleasure and an honor for me to be involved in this.

💬: We need T.O.P in Italy.
🎙️: Yes! We absolutely need a T.O.P show in Italy, absolutely! I will go to Italy just to engineer that show, just so I can make sure my people have a good time. I will absolutely go to Italy to do it.

💬: I have a question that might seem strange: do you speak to TOP in English or in Korean?
🎙️: Korean, of course! *laughs* No, I don’t speak Korean. But I know how to say….I know how to say a thing: 완전 미쳤어 (TOTALLY CRAZY, it’s TOP’s Act1 Song) […] We speak English.

💬: What are the vibes of T.O.P?
🎙️: Oh, the vibes of T.O.P are amazing. He’s a breath of fresh air, he’s amazing to work with. And the vibe of the album…I cannot say exactly, because you’d have to experience it, but I can tell you for sure that it’s a body of work that deserves a number of listens. So when it comes out, you guys are gonna have to sit and listen to it on repeat for days.

💬: The teasers make it seem like T.O.P’s album is like a movie soundtrack, do you think it’s like that?
🎙️: Yeah, man. It’s a very cinematic, it’s a very big presentation, it has an interesting development in different acts, so absolutely.
