I do agree that you will still need developers, but not for the reason you mentioned. Eventually LLMs will learn to write a better code and fix bugs, but to do things in real world you need to take a responsibility and this is something that llm will never do. You'll need a human with good judgement and understanding of the code to review the changes and take responsibility.

this is one of the most valid criticisms of AI that the majority of applications for it are only to justify the existence of it rather than solve real-world pain points.
