Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds. Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs @WHO now more than ever.
Hamilton County Schools librarians are asking students to participate in the #HCSReads2020 Challenge over Spring Break! Next week, use #HCSReads2020 on social media to share what you’re reading during the break.
Read 20 has officially distributed over one million books! (1,032,174) Mayor C gathered with other business leaders in our community at @nnhouse1924 to spend time with the students and read. Thanks @BCBST for our new Readmobile. Let's keep up the great work!
Congratulations to Jillian Neal from @NolanKnights for winning the 2019 Hamilton Shines elementary division. She truly captured Hamilton County's vision for this initiative in her artwork. We are proud, great job! Mayor C. @hamcoschools
Great to see students at @NolanKnights are busy reading 20 minutes each day and increasing their reading abilities to be in the competition for the annual Probasco @ReadTwenty20 Award that will be given in the spring. Keep up the great work!
Thankful for the time Senator Crowe gave us to talk about important issues facing education. We appreciate your service to TN. @cmr41193 and @LibLauraD1 are great partners!
We had an amazing day with @SCORE4Schools talking with legislators in Nashville at Day on the Hill.
“It’s all about placing students at the center. Making sure we do what is best for ALL kids.”
@hamcoschools was well represented on the hill today.
Thank you @BenwoodFound

PEF is here. Loved working with Nolan Elementary 5th graders showing mastery of their US history standards. I was honored to talk about growing up during the Civil Rights movement. Students had really done their homework!
