I asked Jeff Traylor for his reaction to James Madison joining the American Conference:
"What a great add. That place has been great for a long time. They're very committed to being excellent. They'll make all of us better. It's a perfect fit. Tim Pernetti does a fantastic job- his vision, his execution.
"Billy Napier is a dear friend, does a great job coaching. But those guys have taken care of those coaches in that place for a long time. Those kids get what they need to be successful. The program gets what it needs to be successful. So the more of those people you put in our league, the more it challenges people to rise up to the commitment level that James Madison has."
